If you bruise easily or have very thin skin, certain skin problems may be more noticeable on you than they are on others.  Many patients with thin skin have had success using Auriderm® products. If you live in Houston, League City, and the surrounding Bay Area, you can purchase these products here at Clear Lake Dermatology.

What is Auriderm®?

Auriderm® is a line of products that repairs damage that has already been done to the skin.  It is a revolutionary product line that uses medical science to help reduce the appearance of bruising. It works by delivering Vitamin K oxide to the area that’s affected. This is how bruises normally heal; however, these products deliver a higher concentration of Vitamin K oxide to precisely the right area in order to speed up the healing process.

Who can benefit from Auriderm® products?

You may want to consider one of these products if you have:

  • Recently undergone surgery
  • Have experienced extreme bruising due to injury
  • Are plagued with dark under eye circles
  • Have extremely dark spider veins on your legs
  • Purpura or purple discolorations due to bleeding under the skin

What kind of results can be expected?

Patients who use Auriderm® products to reduce the appearance of bruises report that they heal about twice as fast as normal. It may take around two weeks for results to be noticed when using Auriderm® products to reduce under eye circles or spider veins. These products should be used to maintain the skin’s appearance even after the desired results have been achieved.

Are there any precautions I should be aware of?

When using Auriderm® illume eye crème, you should discuss any other eye medications or creams you are currently using, since these can sometimes interfere with this product. These products should not be applied to wounds or open sores. They should also not be placed inside the eyes, nose or mouth. Contact a poison control center if any of these products happen to be swallowed.

In some cases, Auriderm® products may be prescribed before you have surgery if a great deal of bruising is expected. If you would like to try Auriderm®, contact us to set up an appointment.
